Qualified candidates will have the following skills and abilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ?Understand and be committed to the Company Mission and PRL Vision and Values. ?Know and maintain compliance with GLP, FDA, USDA, AAALAC, IACUC, and all other applicable regulations and guidelines as they apply to the non-clinical research environment. ?Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, department guidelines, policies, and study protocols. ?Ensure proper documentation, animal observation and data collection is completed according to established procedures and guidelines. ?Perform all aspects of animal husbandry according to established procedures and guidelines that meet acceptable criteria of the veterinarians. ?Perform all housekeeping duties according to established procedures and guidelines. Technician Assistants are required to maintain Animal Care areas by cleaning, stocking and organizing routinely. ?Technician Assistants are expected to assist staff in the completion of daily tasks as individual duties are completed. ?It is the responsibility of Technician Assistants to ensure all equipment is clean, calibrated and maintained on a regular basis. ?Technician Assistants may have the opportunity to work with cadaveric samples. ?Participate in the overall function of the Research Operations department; which may include: ?Scheduling ?Training new and existing employees. ?Study Team support. ?Weekend and holiday shift coverage is required by all Technician Assistants. ?Perform computer and clerical functions to ensure organized and accurate reporting of animal observations, ?Perform other related duties as requested.


2 years related animal research/care

.•AALAS Certification at the ALAT, LAT, and LATG level optional but preferred


Training Schedule:

Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm
Schedule after completing training:
Saturday through Tuesday 6am to 4:30pm or
Saturday through Wednesday 7am to 3:30pm
