Medical Lab Technologist

Clinicor is looking for a Medical Lab Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist needed for a long term opportunity!

The Medical Lab Technologist will independently conducts complex, multi-task clinical laboratory procedures: multi-species testing in clinical hematology, chemistry, coagulation, parasitology and microbiology and serology. Receives work direction from lead clinical lab tech or Lab Supervisor. Acts as a resource to cross-functional areas including Pre Clinical, Pathology, Surgery, Animal Care, Biomaterials, Study sponsors, Business Unit scientists, Provides technical troubleshooting, problem solving, and other tasks related to clinical pathology and laboratory medicine as required.

Qualified candidates will have the following skills and abilities

-Performs in house procedures: Clinical hematology, chemistry and coagulation -Responsible for sending out study samples to contract laboratories -Recognizes unexpected results, errors, and problems with patient samples based on broad knowledge of medical and scientific techniques. Makes assessment of health status of animals, consults with pathologists and veterinarians, and recommends additional tests as needed -Implements archival of raw data and clinical laboratory records in compliance with GLP, Universal Precautions and Laboratory Safety -Executes all Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs in compliance with GLP requirements. -Assists research projects using broad knowledge of scientific, medical and laboratory techniques, makes complex evaluations -Employees must conform to the SOP's and documentation that applies to their work areas: This includes proper documentationtechniques, updating the SOP's, training on the SOP's and knowledge of teh GLP regulations that apply to their area


Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist, or Medical Laboratory Scientist.

-Working knowledge of GLP regulations
JOB EXPERIENCE -6 - 10 years of clinical lab experience, including: Biomedical industrial research experience
- Minimum 3 years of multi-species testing
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES -Comprehensive knowledge of routine and complex clinical laboratory procedures, multi-species comparisons, instruments, and trouble-shooting
-Knowledge of comparative clinical pathology, medicine, and physiology
-Ability to perform work requiring visual acuity, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination: light microscopy; cytologic, hematologic, and clinical chemistry manual and automated procedures
-Ability to prioritize workflow and multi-task
-Practicing knowledge of Universal Precautions, Infectious, diseases, Blood Borne Pathogens, Biohazards
-Computer skills in: MS Office, spread sheets, PowerPoint
-Knowledge of statistical analyses
-Ability to work independently
-Excellent interpersonal and team relations
-Excellent oral and written communication
-Good organization skills
-Strong problem solving skills


Schedule: Monday through Friday, 32 to 40 hours per week
